You install Event Exhibitor Manager like any WordPress plugin through the back end. Activating it requires administrator rights.
Installation in four steps
- 1Have the ZIP file ready
Don’t unpack the plugin package
event-exhibitor-manager.zip. - 2Upload
Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP file and click “Install Now”.
- 3Activate
Click “Activate Plugin”. The new Exhibitors entry appears in the left menu. If it is missing, activation didn’t complete.
- 4Save permalinks once
Open Settings → Permalinks and click “Save Changes” at the bottom – without changing anything. Without this step the exhibitor pages show “Page not found”.
The plugin ships without prepared types, categories or sample exhibitors – you create everything yourself. The quick setup shows how.
Who may do what afterwards
Dashboard, Mass Editor and Import / Export are open to editors and administrators; settings and the API remain reserved for administrators. Shortcode Generator, “About” and the help are visible to everyone allowed to edit posts. Details under Roles & permissions.
If exhibitors disappear later
Deactivating keeps all data. Only if “Delete data on uninstall” is ticked under Settings → Security & Maintenance does deleting the plugin remove exhibitors, events, lists, settings and API keys – irrevocably.
