Exhibitor Manager DOCS & HELP

Touch Gestures & Controls

How your guests use the plan – on phones, tablets and with a mouse.

A clicked booth: the area is highlighted and centered, the info sheet on the right.

Controls

DeviceUsage
Smartphone, tabletPan with one finger, zoom with two, double-tap to zoom in. The info sheet slides in from the bottom and can be swiped away by its handle.
DesktopMouse wheel to zoom, drag with the mouse button held; + and − buttons plus a button that resets the view.
Switching plansDepending on the setting buttons (up to three plans, a dropdown from four), always a dropdown, or the floor selector as a vertical bar – see Map modes.

A click on a booth

  • All of the exhibitor’s areas are highlighted – with A12, A13 both.
  • The area moves to the center without resetting the zoom.
  • The info sheet shows logo, name, type, categories, location, booth numbers and short text; “Details” opens the detail view, plus heart and share.

A click on a room or area

Rooms and areas linked to a calendar venue in the designer tint slightly on hover. A click or the Enter key opens a pop-up with the program items of all days. Cards in it lead to the respective program item. For the setup, see Linking with program & speakers.

Stairs, elevators, buildings

  • Stairs, elevators and areas with a floor link open a notice with the destination; “Switch to …” changes the floor or the plan.
  • In campus mode a click on a building opens its plan. The button “Back to Campus Overview” in the bar above leads back to the site plan.
  • On the fairground the halls’ info cards fade out when zooming in; a click on an info card zooms into the hall or opens its plan – depending on “Click action in overview” in the designer.

Searching and filtering

If the map search is switched on, the magnifier at the top right opens a search field for exhibitors and up to nine quick filters for restrooms, food, first aid and more. Setup: Search & quick filters.

Ways into the plan

WayResult
A page of its own with [event_hall_plan]The plan as a block, preselected to a hall or building with hall, a booth with booth or a location point with spot.
“View on map” in the directory or detail viewThe plan opens as a window above the page – already on the right plan with the booth highlighted.
Full-screen map /?eem_mapThe current event’s plan as a page of its own, with search – see Full-screen & App.
QR code of a location pointThe plan opens at that spot with “You are here” – see Location points & QR codes.
Hall plan in the calendar pluginSessions can show their room’s plan if the room names match.

Which plan opens? “View on map” picks the plan whose location matches the exhibitor. If none matches – for an exhibitor without a location, for instance – the first floor in tab order on which one of their booth numbers lies opens.

If “Hide all location & booth information globally” is set at the event, the plan only shows the drawing – the areas are then not clickable.
